Businesses Support Action to Preserve Net Neutrality

As Senate Democrats announced their proposal to restore net neutrality though the Congressional Review Act (CRA) on May 9, ASBC issued a letter of support demanding action to restore net neutrality protections. The letter was released in partnership with the Main Street Alliance and Small Business Majority, and signed by business members of all three organizations.

Businesses fear being subject to higher fees and losing their access to customers in a fair and open internet marketplace without net neutrality. In recent polling, it was found that a majority of small businesses are opposed to the FCC’s net neutrality appeal last year. Congress must act now to restore the rules to protect them.

ASBC has also released The Business Case for Net Neutrality, outlining the potential threats the loss of net neutrality poses to businesses of all sizes and industries. You can download the report and sign on to the campaign at netneutrality.asbcouncil.org.
