Oppose the Regulatory Accountability Act

Regulations function as the guardrails that keep our market economy on the road. They define reasonable limits on behavior so that everyone can move along with a reasonable level of risk. Today, the very process of creating regulations is under direct attack by some in Congress at the demand of polluters and those who caused the financial crisis. The misnamed Regulatory Accountability Act would force agencies to conduct unnecessary, highly speculative analyses before setting effective rules that benefit all business stakeholders. The result is to let corporations avoid accountability for their damaging actions. Join other responsible businesses to tell the U.S. Senate to oppose the Regulatory Accountability Act.
